Our 2009 Season
The Hudson Lyric Opera had two productions in 2009. There was a recital program. The operetta "The Magic Flute" was presented in November. Some notes from that show are below.

The Hudson Lyric Opera, for our 2009 season, will present the operetta
The Magic Flute by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in English (libretto by Emanuel Schikandeder, translation by Andrew Porter) on
Fridays, November 6 & 13, at 8:00pm and
Sundays, November 8 & 15, at 3:00pm
at Trinity United Methodist Church, 47 East Main St, Stony Point, NY.

The Magic Flute (Die Zauberflote) is a very popular opera with a rich imagination. There is a dragon, fanciful beasts, challenges and adventure. But there is also spoken dialogue, wonderful music, and soaring arias.
Tickets are 15 dollars for Adults, 12 dollars for Students/Seniors.
